Investigative Biology Laboratory
My research interest has been on population genetics, systematics, and biogeography of lower vertebrates in Mexico and West Africa using mainly molecular data. Currently I am focusing on laboratory curricular design and classroom technology for introductory biology courses.
I enjoy many types of outdoor activities including hiking, scuba diving, and downhill skiing. I swim regularly for exercise and enjoy landscaping and interior design as hobby. My favorite music includes Latin and other world music.
I grew up in the suburb of Taipei, Taiwan. In the US I attended graduate schools in Austin, Texas and New York City. Before joining Cornell University I held scientific positions at the medical examiner's office in New York City and at UCLA.
